Post-Construction Cleaning Done by Surface, Not by Room
Post-construction cleaning in Bali is not the same job as a regular house clean. After a build or renovation, every surface carries fine silica dust, cement film, grout haze, paint overspray and construction adhesive — residues that a standard mop and all-purpose cleaner simply move around. Our team treats each material on its own terms, because the wrong product on the wrong surface causes damage that no amount of later cleaning reverses.
Bali villas combine some of the most beautiful and most demanding finish materials in the world, and each one needs a different first clean. Marble, travertine and limestone are acid-sensitive — the everyday limescale removers you find in any Denpasar hardware shop will etch a permanent dull patch into polished stone within seconds. We use only pH-neutral, stone-specific cleaners and remove construction film mechanically where needed. Teak and other tropical timbers hate standing water, so we work with minimum moisture: dry dust removal first, then a lightly damp pass with a quick-drying product and an immediate dry-buff, never a wet mop left to soak into the grain. Polished concrete, common in modern Bali design, also rejects acid; post-build alkaline plaster residue has to be neutralised with the correct concrete cleaner before any maintenance product goes near it, because that first clean sets how the floor behaves for years. Terrazzo and terracotta are porous and absorb whatever you put on them, so we pre-wet handmade tile to reduce chemical uptake and check the adhesive has fully cured before introducing water to a newly laid floor.
